- Two Tree Officers required for a busy Environment Department of and outer London Borough.Our client is a South London Borough who are looking to engage two temporary Tree Officer’s for a rolling three month contract which could go permanent for the right candidates and is envisaged will be for circa 6 months. You will be operating within a diverse range of environments from the public highway to woodlands and conservation sites. Regardless of your specific interests within the industry you will find it here.Daily duties will include; cyclic and continual safety inspections and making remedial works recommendations for publicly owned trees using CONFIRM Arboriculture in Highways, Parks and Greenspace sites; ensuring databases are kept up to date; remedial works are undertaken to mitigate Health and Safety or insurance claims and processing public enquiries. Additional duties will include assisting the Arboricultural Services Manager in the overall commitments of the team and designated responsibility for the planting, maintenance, preservation and safety of all trees within your assigned area.Key areas of personal experience for this role include in-depth technical arboricultural knowledge, an understanding of contracted services, personal drive, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including the commercial contractors, councillors and the public.Candidates must hold a level three qualification in arboriculture as a minimum, a clean driving licence with access to a vehicle and insurance for business use. Ideally with some surveying experience however, entry level candidates will be considered if you have working experience within the industry and are qualified to Level 3 or above.A pay rate of £16.99/ph PAYE for a 36 hour week is offered.
