- Our client is a Local Authority in Somerset. They are looking for several Highway Tree Inspectors to assist with managing the Tree stock on highways within their borough. Offices are in Taunton but candidates will spend the majority of their time out on site surveying highways throughout the county.The role will involve carrying out highway safety inspections in relation to trees and other defects. It will include identifying necessary works, creating orders for the same and keeping up to date inventory records of the Council's tree stock. Use of hand held survey equipment would be an advantage as would previous experience at carrying out Visual Tree Assessments. Candidates should be qualified to a minimum of a Level 3 in Arboriculture and have a driving licence.In return, a PAYE rate of between £13.11 and £15.26/hour is offered for a 37 hour week, including holiday pay and dependant upon experience. The posts are expected to last for circa 6 months and would be a great opportunity for candidates who are looking to gain work experience in a technical capacity with a Local Authority.
