Who are we?
CTC Recruitment is managed by Beccy Blackman. With twenty years’ experience within the industry, initially as a Director of a succesful Arboricultural Contractor, she subsequently became involved in the Recruitment business and has a genuine understanding of the needs of both the people and companies within the industry. Kate Holbrook joined Beccy in March 2022 and is enjoying learning about the industry and connecting with candidates, clients and the broader world of arboriculture along the way. 

Giving you the Choice
Established in 2001, CTC recruitment was at the time a new concept in recruitment for the arboricultural industry and consequently was an instant success. Based in Shrewsbury the company has a large internet presence and is very active in visiting colleges, training companies and attending industry events.  After 19 years of trading the company now has more than 5000 arborists and 600 employers registered and using its specialist recruitment software CTC can accurately match clients and candidates.

As a small niche industry Arboriculture is not suited to traditional recruitment practices.  Advertising alone often fails to find a suitable candidate due to the small number of arborists who may be actively looking and the large number of job advertisements placed by employers – especially on the industry job boards. Similarly we find some employers do not advertise their vacancies but come directly to CTC because they cannot employ directly (Local Authority temporary roles for example) or because they have no confidence in advertising.

Therefore CTC Recruitment can present both employers and employees with a choice, so that they can select the best.

Promoting Careers in Arboriculture
We have connections with arboriculture education and training providers across the country and share suitable opportunities with them. One of our key objectives is to encourage people to consider arboriculture as a career choice and to improve understanding of the industry.
