- Our client is a south London Borough Council. Their in house Arb section runs circa 5 tree teams and they currently require an Arboricultural Contract Support Officer to assist the Contract Manager with the day to day running of this busy department .You will be responsible for day to day work programming, allocating teams to jobs and checking the work is undertaken to specification and in line with health and safety requirements. It will also involve deputising in the Contract Manager's absence and liaising with the Council Tree Officers and other relevant suppliers. It would suit a candidate who is looking to come off the tools and has had several year's experience within the Industry.Candidates should have chainsaw and climbing certification , industry experience and ideally a Level 3 qualification in Arb. A driving license is essential for getting around the borough. In return a PAYE rate of £14.30/hour is offered with the opportunity for the role to go permanent for the right candidate after a probationary period.
