Our client is a North London Council who are looking for a part time Tree Officer to assist their planning department. This can be done remotely or from the office with visits to sites on a regular basis.
Duties will involve processing all applications for works to trees, communicating with the relevant stake holders and to generally help deliver the Council’s tree protection programme. The role will include maintaining the statutory TPO register, liaising with the Council’s arboriculture and planning policy units,and ensuring proper GIS recording of TPO’s.
Candidates should ideally have had working experience in a similar position and have a Level 3 or above qualification in Arboriculture. In return an hourly rate of £25 is offered for a 16 hour week, spread over two days. This is a temporary contract expected to roll on indefinitely for the right candidate
