- Opportunity to work for a large east midlands local authority's tree section. Employing several Tree Officers and Inspectors our client not only manages their own authority trees, but also those of several neighbouring councils. They also have a direct work force of arborists who maintain the council's trees. They need an additional Trees and Woodlands Officer on a part time basis for circa 3 days per week.This position reports to the Trees and Woodlands Manager and is responsible for both the management of the council's tree stock and the provision of technical advice to other council departments - for example planning in connection with protected trees. Candidates will need to be qualified to a minimum of level 4 in arboriculture and have previous technical experience. LANTRA professional tree inspection would be an advantage.A full driving licence and access to a car for business purposes is essential (mileage paid). Rate of pay £16.55/hour PAYE
