Our client manages the tree stock for a local authority in Kent which encompasses five towns, making up the largest urban area outside of London. As such the arboricultural section is a very active place to work. The tree section currently requires an extra Tree Officer to assist the team in inspections and management of the tree stock, including providing technical advice on all tree related matters.
Based out of Gillingham, the role will involve undertaking inspections of trees, making tree recommendations to create work orders, providing maps to contractors and monitoring the work undertaken. Candidates will be expected to be qualified to a Level 2 in arboriculture as a minimum , have at least three years tree related experience and be computer literate.. A driving licence is essential for undertaking inspecitions
In return a PAYE rate of £20.14/hour is offered for a 37 hour weeks plus mileage. This is initially a temporary role which will transfer to a permanent contract after a successful probationary period has expired.
