Description

Our client is a local authority on the London/Essex border, who is looking for an Assistant Arboriculture and Horticulture Officer, to assist the Arboricultural and Horticultural Manager and Principal Arboricultural and Horticultural Officer in managing, developing and delivering the Arboricultural and Horticultural Services in and around the borough, assist in the management of the Councils tree population incl. inspections, and liase with contractors.

 

Candidates must have a Level 3 in Arboriculture, practical experience of tree inspecting or similar, understanding of tree-related legislation, and knowledge of contract management relating to arboriculture and/or horticulture. 

 

This is a permanent full-time role - 36hrs/week. Hybrid working is also an option, with occasional office visits.

 

In return a salary of between c. £35k and £36k pa is offered, 28 days of annual leave, which increases to 32 days with continued service, an additional day of leave per year as identified by the local authority, and access to the generous pension scheme.
