An Assistant Tree Officer is needed for this south London Council to assist the busy Arb department with management of the Council's tree stock.
The role will be a broad mix of Tree Officer duties and will include developing contract arrangements with outside contractors; scheduling and monitoring tree works for the highways, housing and parks departments ;maintaining up to date tree data base records; liasing with the public and other stake holders around tree related issues and effective budget management. Candidates should ideally have a minimum Level 2 in Arb (or experience in an appropriate field) with Lantra PTI (desirable) and be available for a minimum of 6 months.
In return remuneration up to c. £45k pa is offered for a 36 hour week. The role may transfer to permanent after a probationary period.
