Arborist Tree Surgeon required to work for a local authority tree section based in southeast London.
The work will involve the full range of arboricultural operations to the council tree stock. The tree section is well resourced and has an excellent range of plant and equipment.
Candidates should have certificates for aerial use of a chainsaw and ideally some industry experience. You will initially be engaged on a temporary contract with an immediate start and the opportunity to transfer to direct employment with the council after a probationary period. A full UK driving licence (B+E) or the ability to obtain one is requried.
In return a rate of pay rate of £32k to £34k pa depending on experience for a 36 hour week, plus a Scarcity Payment, 2 x IVA allowances, 1 hour contracted overtime per week, and on-call allowance for one week per month.
